The 18 eligibility criteria are internal ethical and public-service standards established by the Manuneethi Foundation. They are separate from the statutory qualifications prescribed under the Constitution of India and applicable election laws. Application, verification, training or certification by the Foundation does not guarantee nomination by any political party, legal eligibility to contest elections, selection as an election candidate, electoral success, appointment to public office or endorsement by any government authority. Every applicant must independently satisfy all applicable legal requirements for contesting elections in India.
